UNICERA 18th International Ceramics and Bathroom Trade Fair is an international trade show where Turkish ceramic industry comes together once a year and introduced the newest products and the newest technologies of the industry. UNICERA, held in Istanbul, in the month of April every year since 1988, will be held at Tüyap Beylikdüzü Trade Fair and Convention Center April 4-8 in 2007.
Designed and implemented jointly by Ceramic Federation and Timder with Tüyap, UNICERA is growing and developing at an increasing speed each passing year. The fair, which gained an international attribute starting from 2000 when ceramic manufacturers took part actively in the organization is the ceramic and bathroom fair with the broadest participant profile. The fair, which has major business potential where significant ceramic buyers and sellers of the Middle East, Central Asia and the Balkans meet has started to have its name heard in other parts of the world as well.
Ceramic tiles, vitreous ware, pools, saunas, taps and mixers, bathroom and kitchen furniture and accessories and related publications are exhibited at UNICERA Trade Fair where Turkish ceramic industry manufacturers which rank 7th in production and 5th in exports among world manufacturers.
The number of countries sending visitors has gone up from 35 in 2003 to 51 in 2004 with 40,305 people visiting the Fair. In 2005, the Fair, participated by 296 firms and firm representation offices in total from USA, Germany, China, France, Holland, Hong Kong, Spain, Switzerland, Italy, Portugal, Singapore and Greece was visited by 53,000 people together with visitors from 44 countries. Unicera 2006 Trade Fair was visited by 37,320 from 51 countries.
The fair where designers, manufacturers, consumers, importers, products and craftsmen come together has significance not only in business terms but also as a platform for transfer of communication, information and culture. "Ceramic Honor Awards" given by Ceramic Federation to the individuals in the industry who have excelled in various segments of the industry like arts, sciences, industry, technology, design and implementation and R&D find their owners at the fair in a ceremony held each year.
UNICERA, which has set out with the slogan "Desirable Environments" will offer its visitors once again in 2007 the newest product lines of highest quality and professional solution proposals.
